Behind the film
The message behind the Atalaks Holdings film
Atalaks Holdings brings hospitality, events, rentals, agriculture, international trade and financial solutions together under one vision. The film had one job: say that in 60 seconds, so that anyone who watches it understands the group, not just one of its businesses.
Here is everything that went into it, from your brief to the last frame.
- 01
The brief
You asked for a corporate presentation in English: modern, cinematic, elegant. Red and dark. 100% illustration, no photos, nothing to distract. The group first, then Blackrose, Atalaks Events, and the trade and payment activities.
From the reference you sent, we kept what makes it work: one subject per frame, centred, a headline at the top that builds word by word, the key word in red.
- 02
The story in 60 seconds
About 130 words of voice-over, each sentence carrying one part of the group: the Earth and the group, the six industries, Blackrose and its three branches, Atalaks Events, Cameroon ⇄ China, the vision, and your three taglines to close.
Before a single frame was animated, 13 style frames showed exactly what each moment would look like. You approved the direction on these boards.

An identity for the group
A holding company needs a mark that sits above all its brands. The film needed one too, so we designed it: a solid A circled by an orbit, for a group whose reach goes beyond borders. The red dot on the orbit is the signal that starts in Cameroon, the same red dot that lights up on the globe in the opening seconds.
Three directions were explored. The Orbit A carried the story best: the film opens on the Earth and closes on the logo.

A real Earth, a real Cameroon
The globe is not a drawing. It is built from NASA satellite imagery (Blue Marble and Black Marble), rendered in 3D, with every city light recoloured crimson. It rises from the dark, turns to Africa, and Cameroon lights up as the voice says "connecting".
Cameroon is traced from official boundary data, so the shape is exact at any zoom. The map of the Blackrose branches uses the same data: the North-West and South-West regions glow, and a pin drops on Bambili, Commercial Avenue and Buea as each one is named.

Every business, one family
Hospitality, events, rentals, agriculture, trade and payments each got a premium 3D illustration: the same black stone plinth, the same crimson edge light, one object per frame. Six businesses, and they still read as one group.
For Cameroon ⇄ China, we go back to the globe: a red route draws itself from Douala to China while the voice names both.

Voice, music and sound
A calm, confident British voice. Music composed for this film, at 118 beats per minute, with the drop landing exactly on the logo reveal and a lift on "Beyond our borders". Soft, mechanical sound effects (no synthetic beeps) on each reveal.
Every word you read on screen appears at the moment it is spoken. The whole mix is levelled to the standard social networks expect, so it sounds right on WhatsApp, TikTok and Instagram.

What we kept in mind throughout
- A corporate presentation: Blackrose appears as a hospitality brand (buildings, branches, a map), never as party or nightlife imagery.
- Accuracy first: real geography, your own words, no claim the brief did not make.
- Made for phones: vertical 9:16, large type, one idea per frame.
- One palette, one light, one rhythm, so the six businesses feel like one group.
- Ready to share: the right size, format and loudness for status, reels and stories.

One Vision. Multiple Industries. Endless Possibilities.
